The Canine Genetics program in The Lyons Den is focused on the genetic mapping of specific genes. These genes are genetically mapped in either the cat or the horse or are specific phenotypic traits or of particular biological interest to the health of the domestic dog. Research efforts are designed to construct comparative genetic maps across the cat, dog, and horse. This research is a collaborative effort with canine researchers throughout the world. This site is under construction. Please visit again soon! We hope to have most of the site finish by November, 2000. Many of the current pages are the place holders for future information. Please provide suggestions to the webmaster: felinegenome@ucdavis.edu |
